CASEY KORN – UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN OSHKOSH MEN’S BASKETBALL ASSISTANT COACH – GET SCHOOLED #16
Coach Casey Korn grew up playing basketball in the suburbs of St. Louis. Casey found a college that allowed him to continue his passion of playing both baseball and basketball at the next level (Cornell College, Iowa). Casey played a single year of basketball there and did film work during his sophomore and junior years for the basketball team while continuing his baseball career. His senior year in college he coached the local freshmen team and after he graduated was given a varsity coaching position right out of college at Calamus Wheatland HS (Wheatland Iowa). The team there had some success playing for a state championship and other high level playoff games. Coach Korn eventually decided to come back closer to where he grew up and coached at St. Clair High School in Missouri. Three years later Casey took a job at Rockwood Summit High School which was not a basketball power house but a great school. This season he jumped to the college level taking the head assistant spot at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh a Division III program that competes in the WIAC conference and is coming off a national championship appearance last season.
