SMUSH PARKER – FORMER NBA PLAYER & FOUNDER OF SMUSH INSPIRES
NBA Veteran and Newtown High School Alum, William “Smush” Parker was born with a basketball. Most known for his role as the starting point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, Smush played for various teams including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, and the Los Angeles Clippers. Throughout his 16-year professional basketball career, the game of basketball has allowed Smush the opportunity to experience a copious number of countries, cultures, and people including Greece, China, Russia, the Dominican Republic, Iran, Mongolia, Croatia, Tunisia, Morocco and Venezuela. These experiences have evoked a passion to use his platform to create a more fair, just world that elevates the humanity in us all.
