Scott Ruthsatz - Covington Catholic (KY) Boys' Head Varsity Coach

Coach Scott Ruthsatz is in his 8th season as the Boys’ Varsity Head Coach at Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky. During his tenure at CovCath Coach Ruthsatz has amassed 210 victories and won two state championships, in 2014 and 2018. He coached both his son Nick (2014) and his son Aiden (2018) to state championships. Keep in mind that the state of Kentucky has no divisions and crowns only one state champ each year.

Prior to being hired at Covington Catholic Scott spent three seasons with legendary Hall of Fame coach Bob Hurley at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. The team went 84-8 during his time there and won a National High School Championship in 2011.

Coach Ruthsatz has coached at the high school level since 1998 with the exception of the 2006-2007 season when he worked as an assistant at Heidelberg College. He has won over 80% of his games at Covington Catholic and has averaged 28.5 wins per season since taking over the program.
