NBA Team Profiles: Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics have been playing an amazing game this season. They have recently secured a place in the playoffs and have reached their biggest winnings since the 2017 – 2018 games. 

The NBA odds might not be in their favor, but the players below will put up one hell of a fight!

Matt Ryan – Forward

Ryan is in his rookie year and has only played one game for the Celtics. In fact, his time only lasted 5 minutes. Still, in that short appearance, he scored 3 points helping the team win!

Jayson Tatum – Forward Guard

Tatum has been with the Celtics since 2017. He is a star player currently averaging 26.9 points per game, and 8 rebounds per game. In the last match against the Memphis Grizzlies, he scored 31 points in 21 minutes.

Jaylen Brown – Guard Forward

Brown has been with the Celtics since 2016 and like Brown, he is a constant player for the Celtic fans to rely on. Brown is currently averaging 23.6 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game. 

Malik Fitts – Forward

Having only played professionally for 1 year, Fitts hasn’t been given much time on the court. He is only averaging 1.4 points per game and 1.1 rebounds per game.

Derrick White – Guard

White has been playing for the Celtics since 2017 and he is slowly showing his worth as a 29th pick player. With an average score of 13.2 per game and 3.5 rebounds per game, he is a solid player for the team.

Payton Pritchard – Guard

Pritchard has been playing for the Celtics since 2020. Although he has only had 1 year of experience, he is often on the court for 15 minutes or more. However, that time hasn’t boosted his scores as Pritchard can only boast 6.2 points per game and 1.9 rebounds.

Grant Williams – Forward

Williams has been playing for the Celtics since 2019. He is currently averaging 7.8 points per game and 3.6 rebounds.

Nik Stauskas – Guard

Stauskas has been playing for the Celtics since 2014 as the 8th pick from round 1. However, he hasn’t been getting a lot of air time this season, playing for an average of 3 minutes per game.

Juwan Morgan – Forward

Morgan is another player who hasn’t had a lot of air time. However, he did play for 27 minutes back in December, in that time he only earned 5 points. We should mention Morgan was on loan and wasn’t playing for the Celtics.

Aaron Nesmith – Guard Forward

Nesmith has been playing for the Celtics since 2020. Despite his green face, Nesmith has had a lot of air time, playing for 16 minutes on average. However, he has only managed to achieve 3.8 points per game.

Daniel Theis – Forward Center

With 4 years of experience, Theis is a star for the Celtics. He is often on the court and constantly earns points. However, he is currently only averaging 8.2 points per game.

Sam Hauser – Forward

Hauser is another rookie on the Celtic team. Although he is new, he played for 21 minutes in the March game against the Toronto Raptors. In that game, he scored 10 points.

Marcus Smart – Guard

Smart joined the Celtics in 2014 and he is constantly called upon to play. In his last 5 games, Smart averaged 28 minutes of court time.

Luke Kornet – Center Forward

Kornet has been averaging 2 points per game and 1.9 rebounds per game. He normally only spends half the time on the court, but in his last game against the Memphis Grizzlies, he earned 10 points.

Al Horford – Center Forward

Horford is another star player averaging 10.2 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game. In his last four games, Horford has been averaging 30 minutes per game and 14.25 points per game.

Robert Williams III – Center Forward 

Williams joined the Celtics in 2018, his last 5 games have all been wins putting him on an amazing winning streak for the playoffs. Williams is averaging 10 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game.

Brodric Thomas – Guard 

Thomas is another player with a 5 game winning streak. Although he isn’t on the court for long, he is constantly scoring points.
