CARL KREMER – ARCHBISHOP MOELLER (OH) HIGH SCHOOL BOYS’ VARSITY HEAD COACH – EPISODE 133

Carl Kremer has been the Head Varsity Basketball Coach for Archbishop Moeller High School for 29 years.  In those 29 years, Coach Kremer has compiled a 575-157 record.  His teams have won the G.C.L 22 out of the last 26 years.  He has also led his Crusaders to 7 City Championships; 14 District Championships, 8 Regional Championships, 1 State Final Four ’05; 2 State Runner-Up finishes in ‘10 and ’17 and 5 Division 1 State Championships in ’99, ’03, ’07 as well as Back to Back Titles in ’18 and ’19. 

Coach Kremer has also received a great deal of individual recognition.

• Ohio Coach of the Year: 3 (1994, 2017, 2018)
• Cincinnati Coach of the Year: 7 (1999, 2003, 2007, 2010, 2017, 2018, 2019)
• Southwest District Coach of the Year: 1 (2019)
• Southwest District Coach of the Year: 1 (2019)
• The Greater Cincinnati Basketball Hall of Fame Coach of the Year: 2 (2018, 2019)
• NFHS: Mideast Region Coach of the Year: 1 (2017-2018)
• Cincinnati.com Sports Award: 1 (2019)
• USA Today State of Ohio Coach of the Year: 1 (2019)

In 2010 Coach Kremer was selected to coach in the prestigious McDonald All- American game.  He has also coached the Ohio/Kentucky all-star game in 2001 and 2003 as well as the Ohio North/South all-star game in 2000.  Coach Kremer was inducted into the Moeller Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Greater Cincinnati Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.
