March Madness is almost here, and who better to carry us through the court-scorching excitement than some of the most promising NCAA players? While it’s impossible to narrow down such a talented pool of basketball stars into just one or two names, this blog post will be sure to give you the best picks for intense March Madness watching come 2023.
So buckle up; it’s time to find out which players make our list of must-watch action during 2023 March Madness!
Jalen Wilson
With a knack for crushing it on the court, Jalen Wilson has earned himself a spot as one of college basketball’s elite players. A force to be reckoned with, Wilson arrived at Kansas as a four-star recruit proudly rated as the 53rd-best player in the 2019 class. Now fast forward and the 6-foot-8 senior is becoming more revered than ever before – leading one of college basketball’s best teams and taking them to a national title!
Although his three-point shooting efficiency wasn’t great last season (18.2%, ouch!), there’s no doubt that he can turn it around during his final year at Kansas – considering his recent successes since February 1 and his boosted motivation to prove himself further. He should be interesting to watch as he aims for a first-round pick this season in the draft. Things are certainly heating up for Wilson!
Zach Edey
Zach Edey is a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court. Purdue Boilermakers’ 7-foot-4 center has dominated his opponents this season, topping the leaderboard in scoring and rebound. He’s a surefire pick for next year’s March Madness 2023 and the 47th-best prospect in the NBA Draft according to The Athletic.
But Edey seems more interested in leading Purdue to a national championship – he’s averaging 22.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks over the last 16 games! If that isn’t enough to get you excited, then here’s a friendly reminder that this maniacal player has scored thirty or more points six times this year!
Brandon Miller
With Miller leading the charge, Alabama is a team to watch come March Madness 2023! His five-star rating from 247 Sports and No. 14 ranking nationally is indicative of his completeness as a player–the 6-foot-8 freshman boasts a unique combination of perimeter defense, athleticism, and outstanding shooting ability.
Plus, his presence has helped Coach Nate Oats lead the Crimson Tide to one of their best seasons in program history yet–16 conference wins! Miller’s talents have already earned him comparisons to NBA’s Paul George–if he continues to develop at such an impressive rate, I think it’s safe to say Brandon Miller is destined for greatness.
Jarace Walker
Jarace Walker has given the Houston Cougars plenty of reasons to cheer this NCAA season. The 6-foot-8 power forward stands out with his impressive 7-foot-2 wingspan, making him a real menace on defense. All rookies experience growing pains, but Walker’s number had been rising since the transition from IMG Academy to the Cougars. His averages have risen from 7.5 PPG and 5 RPG in December to 10.5 PPG and 9.2 RPG by March — and adding 25% to his perimeter shots as well! Walker looks like he’ll be keeping that hustle going long into his future at Houston, giving fans something to look forward to for years to come!
Oscar Tshiebwe
Oscar Tshiebwe’s story truly is one of a kind. He moved to the United States from the Democratic Republic of Congo five years ago and hasn’t looked back since. Despite having limited basketball experience, he quickly earned a reputation as an NBA prospect with the Kentucky Wildcats. This season, his senior year, he has made things look easy on both ends of the floor. Tshiebwe’s 74 blocks and steals this season make him one of the toughest defensive players in college basketball, while his 15.2 rebounds-per-game average has placed him at the top of NCAA ranking for two consecutive years – something even Kenneth Faried couldn’t accomplish!
Conclusion
March Madness 2023 is shaping up to be an exciting season for basketball fans. The draft is full of studs like Jalen Wilson, Zach Edey, Brandon Miller, Jarace Walker, and Oscar Tshiebwe – each with the potential to make a huge impact on any team lucky enough to take them on board. As these players battle for championships this season, the competition will be fierce and it’s sure to provide plenty of entertainment for those watching at home. Regardless of which team you’re rooting for this season, finding ways to support these star players is something that we can all get behind. So gather your friends and family together and cheer on your favorite teams as they try their luck using the best that 2023 has to offer.
