Los Angeles Clippers – Pro Scout & Coach

Dave Severns is currently a Pro Personnel Scout for the Los Angeles Clippers.  Prior to holding this position he was the Director of Player Development for the Clippers from 2010-2016 under Head Coach Doc Rivers.  Before joining the Clippers in 2010. Severns held the same role with the Chicago Bulls where he worked under then Bulls Head Coach Vinny Del Negro.

Dave also has 6 years of college coaching experience including 3 seasons as an assistant coach at Fresno State for Jerry Tarkanian.  At the start of his career he spent many years as a high school teacher and coach in the state of California.  Throughout his time coaching Dave has directed and worked at camps throughout the world in China, Norway, as well as here in the United States.  Dave has been a staple at Snow Valley Basketball Camp for over 30 years.

Severns has worked directly with and helped develop NBA stars like Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, Chris Paul, and Joakim Noah in his roles with both the Clippers and the Bulls.
