The Villanova Wildcats are the pride and joy of Villanova University. As part of the Big East Conference, the Wildcats have won the National Championships 3 times. The first in 1985, the second in 2016, and the most recent in 2018.
Their 1985 game was spectacular and is commonly known as The Perfect Game. This was because they shot 78.6%, which was a record at the time.
Although Villanova is currently very low down on the bookie’s list, we can’t help but hold hope for the March Madness Odds. With the boys below, we might have a chance this year.
Bryan Antonie – Guard
Antonie is a junior, weighing in at 108 lbs and reaching 6’ 5”. In the 2021-2022 season, Antonie has averaged 1.5 points per game, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.5 assists so far.
Throughout his college career, Antonie has played in games with a stable average of 1.5 points on average.
Chris Arcidiacono – Guard
Arcidiacono is another junior in the Wildcats. He weighs 200 lbs and reaches 6’ 5”. Arcidiacono has played in 3 seasons with Villanova so far, with the 2021-2022 season being his most successful yet.
In total, he has averaged 1.6 points per game, 1 rebound, and 0.6 assists.
In the 2020-2021 season, this guard managed to score 4 goals in 13 games but only managed to average 0.9 points per game for the season.
Angelo Brizzi – Guard
Brizzi is a freshman and hasn’t had the chance to play for the Wildcats yet. He weighs 180 lbs, and reached 6’ 3”.
However, this player has great promise. He is a team player, and his main talent lies in his ability to create shots for others as well as himself. Brizzi is left-handed with a long-range, making him harder to pinpoint.
Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree – Forward
Roundtree is the first forward in our profile list. As a senior, Roundtree has had more chances to play than most. He weighs 250 pounds, and reaches a giant 6’ 9”.
However, for the current season, Roundtree’s numbers don’t match his junior friends. He has averaged 0.8 points, 2 rebounds and 0.7 assists.
Caleb Daniels – Guard
Daniels is a star on the Wildcats team. The senior player who comes from New Orleans has an average of 10.3 points per game, 3.8 rebounds, and 1 assist for the 2021-2022 season so far.
He weighs 210 lbs and reached 6’ 4”, which is pretty standard. The only year Daniels has been more successful was in the 2018-2019 season, where he averaged 16.9 points per game.
Eric Dixon – Forward
As a sophomore in the Wildcats, we didn’t expect a large average from Dixon. However, we were wrong. So far this season Dixon is averaging 9.1 points per game, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
The 6’ 8” player has scored 38 goals in his 38 games of playing, making him the highest scorer on the team.
Jordan Longino – Guard
Weighing 220 lbs, and reaching 6’ 5”, Longino is a freshman on the rise. So far this season he has scored 1.8 points per game, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game.
He has only played in one season so far but competed in 26 games already.
Justin Moore – Guard
Moore is a junior for the Wildcats, and he is a star player already. Scoring 14.8 points per game, rebounding 4.8, and assisting 2.3 per game this guard is making waves.
This season has been Moore’s most successful yet.
Nnanna Njoku – Forward
As a freshman Njoku has yet to make a real impact on the Wildcats. So far this season, he has scored 0.7 points per game, 1.6 rebounds, and no assists.
In total, he has played in 9 games.
Trey Patterson – Forward
Patterson is a Junior, weighing 220 lbs and reaching an impressive 6’ 9”. With a total of 4 minutes of gameplay in the season, Patterson has earned 0.6 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.2 assists.
Patterson has played in 16 games this season with a total of 4 minutes of gameplay which isn’t enough time to really make a mark.
Brandon Slater – Forward
Slater is another senior that should be cherished in the Wildcats team. So far, Slater is averaging 8.5 points per game, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.
In the most recent game against KU, Slater earned 16 points out of a possible 65.
Kevin Voigt – Guard
The last senior in the roaster is also the last player. Voigt has only played for 0.6 minutes this season, and he hasn’t played for Wildcats in previous seasons either. This is why his current stats are very low.
In fact, Voigt has earned 0 points, 0 rebounds, and 0 assists. His career stats are also filled with 0s.
Summary
The Villanova Wildcats don’t have a high likelihood of shaking up the finals in the NCAAB this season. However, they aren’t at the bottom of the league either.
