Mason Waters

Mason Waters is currently the assistant boys’ varsity coach at South Forsyth High School in Georgia. Last season Mason was at NCAA D2 Flagler College as a men’s assistant. The year before that he was a JV boys coach at West Forsyth High School during his senior year of college.

Waters started reading John Wooden books when he was 9 and became fascinated by Coach Wooden. He has always wanted to coach. Mason started coaching during his freshman year of college working with a 5th grade team. He worked for Kevin Eastman, helping with his clinics and volunteered at PGC & USA basketball clinics.  Coach Waters has worked at both Snow Valley Basketball School in Iowa (Don Showalter, Dave Schlabaugh, Matt King lead the way) and the Jay Bilas Skills Camp.

Mason was a good high school player but didn’t pursue playing in college because he was ready to coach.  Waters shares a lot of free workouts and drills through social media in addition to his on-court coaching.
