In this episode of the Get Schooled series, I talk with Coach John Lipowski, the new boys head varsity basketball coach for Strongsville High School.

After graduating from Strongsville High school and Mount Union, Coach Lipowski found his passion in teaching and coaching Basketball. He has coached at both the middle school and high school level in Strongsville since 1999. After taking over the Strongsville Basketball Program on an interim basis for the final 8 games last season he took that team that had struggled for much of the season on a run to the district finals where the Mustangs lost a closely contested game with the Lorain Titans who would eventually make the state semifinals, . After executing the turnaround at the end of last season, Strongsville named Coach Lipowski the Varsity Head Coach this past summer. He is excited about building a new positive culture in the program from the varsity all the way down to the youth basketball program in the city.

Coach Lipowski shares his perspective and vision for building a program as a first time head coach. Learn more about what he believes is the most important building block for creating a culture of success on and off the court.
