Basketball to Coach Joe Harris is more than a sport; it has been a way of life for him and his family , Joe spent 31 years coaching varsity basketball in Washington State at two different high schools, He taught/coached for 6 years at Bridgeport HS and 25 in his hometown of Lake Chelan, Washington. Coach Harris Amassed a 516-260 career record as Head Coach with One state championship and 8 teams who earned a state trophy. In 2011 Joe was inducted into the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Assoc. Hall-of-fame. He has also been involved with WIBCA for many years and is currently the President as well as the Director of the Spring Coaches Clinic held annually in Lake Chelan.

Coach Harris been married for 32 years to his wife Alice & has four children, Kaiti, Joe, Jaicee and Makenzie and 2 grandchildren. Joe has coached numerous other sports and currently teaches Physical Education and High School Strength and Conditioning at Chelan Middle/High School

Coach Harris’s son Joe will be entering his 6th year in the NBA this winter and currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets.
